“Red Rivers” Kamchatka travel company invites you to get a real delight of dog sledding and enjoy wild Kamchatka nature in winter time.
Tour itinerary:
09.00 Picking up at the place of staying. Transfer to the “Eyvet” kennel.
10.00 Meeting of the group.
10.05 Excursion around sled dogs kennel which was titled by Andrei Pritchin – one of the participants of the Kamchatka race “Beringia”. In the kennel, you will find out answers to the following questions: “Who is the musher?”, “How to harness the sled?”, “What is the task of each dog of harness?”. Also you will get acquainted with the dogs that passed the Beringian route for several times. You will listen to the story of traditional Koryak forms of sled dogs training and making sledges.
10.25 The story of the harness, the method of putting dogs in a sled. Preparation for the dogs sledding. Safety briefing.
10.45Beggining of dogs sledding. The sled is accompanied by a snowmobile (distance – 8 km.). From 1 to 6 dog teams leave the start point at the same time, makes it possible for the guests of the camp to feel like a real musher and compete with each other, as in this race.
11.25You will know about dog sled races, about the traditions and life of the Koryaks (Kamchatka native people) in the forest house “Pristanische Kayura”. You will have lunch inside this house with tea from local herbs and flat cakes.
12.10 Walk through the camp and photo session in national clothes.
13.00 Departure from the kennel
13:10 Transfer to the place of staying.
