The Mutnovskiy volcano is one of the most active volcanoes in Kamchatka. As the shape of it is unusual, everyone can make an ascent to the crater of the volcano and see all volcanic activity with your own eyes. Fumaroles, steam, mud kettles. The fantastic volcanic landscape will impress everyone who makes an ascent to it.
The Goreliy volcano is difficult to distinguish from the mountain massif at first sight, but so-called “collection” of its various craters is considered to be unique. Each crater on the volcano top has its own characteristic and together they create a unique range. The Goreliy volcano caldera is a natural geological monument. At the end of the ascent, you will be impressed by the largest and most beautiful crater of the volcano, filled with an unusually beautiful acid lake of turquoise colour.

Tour itinerary:
DAY 1. THE MUTNOVSKY VOLCANO ASCENT
07:00 Departure from the “Petropavlovsk” hotel to the volcanic plateau at the foot of the Mutnovsky volcano (4 hours). Short stop at the top of a mountain serpentine, where you may enjoy a magnificent view of one of the most beautiful volcanoes of the Pacific Ring – Vilyuchinskiy volcano.
Upon arrival at the foot of the volcano, setting up the tent camp. Snack (tea, coffee, sandwiches, sweets). Preparation for the ascent, check of equipment.
The beginning of the ascent is about 14:00. The Mutnovsky volcano impresses by the fact that the ascending takes place along the crack inside the volcano. The crater of the volcano is of a special interest, because of mud volcanoes, acid pools, hissing fumaroles, surrounded by bright yellow collars of sulfur crystals, hot gurgling mud boilers, boiling lakes.
Return to the camp, lunch-dinner. Rest and free time. Overnight in tents.
DAY 2 . THE GORELIY VOLCANO ASCENDING
Breakfast and going to the Goreliy volcano.
Tea and sandwiches is about 11:00. Preparation for the ascent.
The beginning of the Goreliy volcano ascending is about 12:00. Ascending to the volcano is not so hard the track passes through the old lava flows and slag fields. Kekurniki – frozen lava columns of various shapes are very interesting. The ascent takes about 3 hours. The height difference is about 900 m. You will have a snack on the volcano top. Exploring the main craters of the volcano. Return to the camp by the same way.
Return to the car and dinner. Packing the equipment and the way back to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

Additional Information:
The route or the route schedule can be changed according to the weather conditions, the training level of the group, other external factors. The decision to change the route may be taken by the guide on the place.
