The program of two-day dog sledding will allow you to enjoy the fairy-tale world of Kamchatka nature in the winter. Lovely, fluffy, four-legged friends will be with you throughout the whole time. Do you like dogs as much as we do? Then this program is ideal for you.
Tour itinerary:
Day 1 “Training day”
09.00 Transfer from the place of living to the kennel of “Eyvet” sled dogs.
10-00 Arrival at the kennel.
10-15 – 10-45 Tea time.
10-45 – 11-15 Excursion to the Andrey Pritchin the sled dogs nursery – the most titled participant of the Kamchatka race “Beringia”. In the kennel, the guests will learn: who the musher is and what he does. The way of ruling the sled. What is the task of each dog in the sled? And also you will get acquainted with the dogs that have repeatedly passed the Beringia route. You will be told in detail about the Koryak traditional forms of training sled dogs, making sleds. The guide will select sledges and dog teams (8 dogs) for tourists’ dog-sledding.
11-15 – 11- 45 Guests take part in the preparation of dogs for a training race. Guests water the dogs and help to put them into the sled.
11-45 – 12-30 Training race for a distance of 8 km is accompanied by a snowmobile (you will rule the sled by yourself).
12-30 – 13-15 Return to the nursery. Guests help to feed the dogs with a specially prepared broth.
13-15 – 14-15 Lunch. Homemade dishes are served for lunch.
14-20 – 15-00 Excursion around the kennel and a photo session in the native people national clothes.
15-00 – 15-20 Preparation of sleds and dogs for the second training race.
15-20 – 16-40 Second training race accompanied by a snowmobile (ruling by yourself) for a distance of 15 km.
16-40 – 17-00 Return to the kennel.
17-00 – 17-30 Hot tea.
17-30 – 18-30 Feeding the dogs. Guests feed the dogs selected in a sled.
19-00 – 20-00 Dinner.
20-00 – 20-30 Departure.
21.30 Transfer to the place of staying.
Day 2 “Journey on the Dog Sled”
09.00 Transfer from the place of staying to the kennel of “Eyvet” sled dogs.
10-00 Arrival at the kennel.
10-15 – 10-45 Tea time.
10-45 – 11-15 Tourists take part in the preparation of dogs for a long distance. Guests water the dogs and help to put them in a sled.
11-30 – 16-30 Beginning of the dog-sled race (ruling dogs by yourself) for a distance of 40 km, dog sled is accompanied by a snowmobile. After passing 20 km, there will be a stop for a tea (light lunch). Continuing of the race.
16-40 – 17-00 Return to the kennel.
17-00 – 17-30 Tea time.
17-30 – 18-30 Feeding the dogs. Guests help to feed selected dogs in a sled.
19-00 – 20-00 Dinner.
20-00 – 20-30 Departure.
21:30 Transfer to the place of staying.
